Warrenton Drive-In
Bear Wallow Rd., off old US 15/29 bypass, Warrenton, Va.
capacity: about 200 cars
years of operation: 1951-79
currently: townhouse development

Opened as the Pitts Drive-In; changed name in 1970 after the Pitts Circuit merged with R/C Theatres. At the time it was sold to a developer and closed, it was the last remaining movie theatre in Fauquier County; earlier, Pitts had owned and operated the downtown Fauquier Theatre.

Thanks to Richard Webb for sending in this 1974 aerial photo of the Warrenton. That's it just past the Northern Virginia Shopping Center and the Cheswick Motel.
