The first drive-in in the Roanoke Valley, the Lee Hi's debut feature was the musical comedy Margie starring Jeanne Crain. In 1976, operators Consolidated Theatres opened a four-screen indoor next to the drive-in; it's now the Carmike Salem Valley 8.
