Fairfield Drive-In
3101 Williamsburg Rd. (US 60 east), Richmond, Va.
years of operation: 1956-78
currently: Citgo station; parking and storage for crane service

In the '70s, the Fairfield was one of two area drive-ins (the other was the Rosebowl) running an all-X-rated format -- year-round. Operator District Theatres showed mainstream fare at its Airport Drive-In just two miles down the road. A flea market later operated on the site for several years, into the early '90s.
