Centreville Rd. (VA
28 north), Manassas, Va.
capacity: 350 cars
years of operation: 1951-86
currently: overflow parking for a Chrysler-Plymouth

Opened July 1951 as the Pitts Drive-In by the Fredericksburg-based Pitts circuit. The company also owned the downtown Pitts Theatre, and opened the suburban Reb Yank in the late '60s. In 1970 the chain and its corporate identity were subsumed with Baltimore-based R/C Theatres, and the drive-in was renamed the Manassas. After closing, it remained fallow for several years before being torn down.
