Callaghan Drive-In
old US 60 (Midland Trail), 6 miles west of Covington, Va. in hamlet of Callaghan
years of operation: 1949-62
currently: private residence; eastbound I-64 covers northern part of old viewing area

First drive-in in the Covington-Clifton Forge area; opened April 15, 1949 with Bambi. In-car speakers weren't installed until the following year.
